The inaugural app by Kiloton is an easy to use hockey pool manager for the iPhone and iPod Touch, perfect for setting up your fantasy teams and keeping track of how your players are performing.  Also great for adding the teams of other people in your pool, giving you a great overview of how everyone’s doing.

Buying Breakaway will get you stat and roster updates for the entire 2009/2010 NHL season.  Barring any unforeseen technical issues, updates should be made daily. The app let’s you set point values for goals, assists, shutouts, etc. for each position on the ice and automatically calculates total points for your players and teams.

Breakaway Fantasy Hockey is $1.99 in North America (international users, check your country’s iTunes App Store for local pricing).  There’s also a free limited “Lite” version available that’ll allow you to create teams and manage players, but you’ll lose out on the point tracking feature and stat updates made throughout the season.
